Get to know Michaela Wild: Level 2 Certified BSTA Coach

We interviewed Michaela Wild. Michaela has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with me and is as an amazing coach, on-stage performer, actress, and dancer. She is also a huge asset to our Blair Singer Training Academy organization. Listen to what she has to say…

The following interview was edited for brevity and clarity.

Q: How did you first start out on your personal development and training journey?

Michaela: Back in 2014, there was a seminar series hosted by T. Harv Eker in Germany that you were a part of as a speaker and trainer. I attended it for the first time, and when I heard Blair speak, I knew I had to learn more. I then looked for more events hosted by Blair and decided to attend those as well.

Q: What motivated you to come to that seminar?

Michaela: Before then, I was starting to go through a rough patch in my life. I still loved what I did as a theater performer, but I also knew that I didn’t want to do that forever. In my personal life, things weren’t going very well, and the toxicity started to overwhelm other parts of my life.

My friend had sent me a self-help book, which I thought at the time was nonsense, but it really started to change my perception on life. After that, I continued to read more books from people like Tony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, and T. Harv Eker, which is how I came about his seminar series.

Q: What made you decide to start your own business?

Michaela: Well, around the same time I went to that seminar, I had also attended other training events from other speakers and coaches. But when I went to Train the Trainer (with Blair), that really changed my life. When Blair was talking, I felt like he was really speaking to me. It touched me deep in my heart.

Even though becoming a trainer was not my goal at the time, I decided that I needed to continue along this path. It was 2014, and I was still performing, but I needed to find out what my true calling was.

Then, in December 2014, I attended Making the Stage and that’s when I knew that I had to make this my full-time endeavor. After that, I followed my passions and formed my own training business.

B: How was the first year of your business? At what point did you know that this is what you wanted to keep doing?

Michaela: Starting a business was hard. For me, I had to learn how to rebrand my image from being an on-stage dancer to being an on-stage business expert and motivator. Having a business coach was extremely helpful, and it taught me that in order to make it work, I had to keep working at it, over and over again.

In April 2015, I hosted a 5-day personal development course, which almost didn’t happen. I thought about cancelling the event because I only had 6 people sign up, and I was scared and unsure that it could be successful. But, I thought to myself, who am I to let these people down just because I was scared?

So, I held the event anyway, and I’m so glad that I did. My participants experienced massive breakthroughs in their development, and there were so many tears cried that week. That was the moment I knew that what I was doing was important, not just for them, but for me, too. Even if I could only help one person, I knew that I could not give up.

B: That’s very inspiring to hear. What then inspired you to pursue certification with BSTA?

Michaela: I knew that to take my business to the next level, I needed more than just my will. I needed a network of other people as a resource and as motivation. Like they say, you are the average of the people you spend the most time with, and so I decided to join that group of amazing individuals from around the world.

I became a level 2 coach in November 2016, allowing me to be a part of an exclusive community of other trainers and coaches. Their constant support is great, and it is one of the best parts of being certified.

B: What important lessons have you learned along the way?

Michaela: Your past successes can help push you towards your goals today. Back before I started on my journey to self-discovery, I blamed everyone else for my problems. I was not happy with my life. But, with help from others and through my own will, I was able to turn my life around. I knew that if I was able to do that, then I can do anything, as long as I take it one step at a time.

B: That’s the name of your book, too, isn’t it?

Michaela: Right, it is! I wanted to share my experiences and struggles with others who may be in the same shoes, and hope that they can learn that as long as you keep moving forward, anything is possible. My book is one of my best accomplishments, and it has helped so many people in their lives.

B: What’s one of your personal mottos that you’d like to share with everyone?

Michaela: With enough love, you can achieve anything!

Talking Entrepreneurship, Resiliency, Having a Support System, and More with Ken McElroy

A few weeks ago, I asked you, my readers, to send me topics and questions on what you wanted me to address in future videos, and you delivered! Thank you for all the great suggestions — there were some really great ideas.

I filmed a new video with fellow Rich Dad Advisor Ken McElroy — real estate expert, and who I believe, is the epitome of a successful and effective entrepreneur. We sat down and discussed a few of the questions that were submitted by you, covering a wide range of topics. Some highlights from the video:

  • Entrepreneurs can often feel “stuck in a rut,” learn how you can get out of a one
  • Using a “parking lot” model to prioritize and address issues, both personal and business, within a group
  • Finding a support system, or a community, who help you towards your goals, lift your mood, and motivate you
  • Learning how to give freely to others when you want to become a better person
  • Creating an environment that promotes “psychological safety” for you and others

This was such an important and impactful conversation that we had on camera — watch the video to learn more!

What Can I Do to Support You?

I, along with Robert Kiyosaki and many of my BSTA members, have been reading this book called Big Potential and one of the biggest takeaways we’re learning is that the more you help to make your team better, you become better, too. The collective intelligence of the group surpasses even the smartest person in the group.

My guiding principle in business and life has always been to provide the greatest value to the greatest number of people with the least amount of expenses to them. So, this has really inspired me to reach out to you — yes, ALL OF YOU — and ask…

What can I do to support you?

I want you to get better, because I, too, want to get better!
So, tell me. I plan on doing a series of these videos based on what YOU want to hear from me. Where can I help? I’d love to hear your input either in the comments, via Messenger or email at info@blairsinger.com.

Get to know Steve Koszman: Level 2 Certified BSTA Coach

Every now and then, there comes along a person who’s a shining example of someone who has been able to blend his or her different passions in life to create a business. Steve is one of those people.

Canadian resident Steve Koszman (pronounced kush-man) is a DJ/emcee, Special Olympics coach, community leader and philanthropist — and not to mention a Level 2 Blair Singer Training Academy certified coach. He’s now running his own personal development and business training business, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.

I’ve had the opportunity to chat with him to learn more about him and his business, what drives and motivates him, and why he decided to pursue certification.

The following interview was edited for brevity and clarity.

B: Tell me about the time you first started on this journey.

Steve: I attended an event hosted by Darren Weeks back in 2011 in Alberta, Canada, and there is where I also met the rest of the Rich Dad Advisor team, including you. I really appreciated what I learned during the Fast Track Super Conference.

B: What were you doing during that time?

Steve: I was a full-time manager at a special care home for people with a range of different disabilities, and I also had a side business being a DJ.

B: When did you decide to become a certified coach?

Steve: In 2014, I attended your Sales Explosion Program because I was really interested in growing my DJ business. Also, I wanted to become a better, bigger version of myself after seeing your talks about personal development. Then, after I went to the Master Facilitator Program, where I learned to sharpen my speaking and presentation skills, that’s when I decided I wanted to become a certified coach. I not only wanted to grow myself, but I wanted to help others become better versions of themselves, too. It was very inspiring.

B: Why is this important to you?

Steve: I guess you could say I’ve always wanted to help people. I have an intrinsic desire to see people reach their full potential. That’s what made my time at the special care home so special, because I got to help others do that. Now, I want to be able to take it farther, and reach even more individuals. It’s a really special thing to see people succeed and knowing that you’ve helped them along the way.

B: Are you still working at the home now? What are you doing these days?

Steve: Unfortunately, I had to resign back in 2016, because I had completed my certification and wanted to pursue my passions full-time. However, I still volunteer as a coach for the Special Olympics and train softball athletes. It’s fun and I’m happy I have the opportunity to continue to do that.

My DJ business is now a DJ and events company, where I also help throw fundraisers to support my community and those in need.

All of these passions intersect well with each other, because it gives me the opportunity to coach people in all sorts of ways in personal development. I also conduct workshops and seminars with the Little Voice Mentoring program and coach 1-on-1. Everything works seamlessly together, and I enjoy that.

B: What do you remember most about the certification process, and what’s your advice to those looking to go down the same path?

Steve: In March of 2015, I completed the first level of certification after going to the Ultimate Personal Development Program. I could have stayed there — taken in all the lessons I had learned and continue to grow as a person, and grow my business. But, I was really inspired by what you had said: “The world needs more leaders.” Because of that, I decided to complete the next level of training, which allows me to do what I do now, spreading the word to others across the globe.

My advice to others is to surrender to the process. Really. These are proven, effective strategies that continue to make a positive difference in the world. Don’t go in thinking you know it all — or as we like to say, don’t let your “little voice” get in the way of your growth. Never stop learning, never stop growing.

B: Anything else you want to say?

Steve: Go do what makes you better!

Learn more about how Steve can help you become a better version of yourself on his website, and be sure to follow him on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. I have a lot of fun seeing what he’s up to, and I’m sure you will too!
